[I](https://primal.net/marc/) wrote an article about making greeting cards that pay people bitcoin on my blog at https://zapthisblog.com. [BitPopArt](https://primal.net/p/nprofile1qqsy8w40ps5wdna3jkchacyrux0t8f90m7k9fkdkhtchqfcw6xf7xnqjrwfkf) decided to draw some characters for it.  We decided to colloborate and make greeting cards that pay sats.

- I printed 50 cards, but already used one for testing.

- Each card comes with a QR code redeemable for 1,000 sats on the lightning network using the [Cashu protocol](https://cashu.space/).

- Each Card comes with directions on how the sats can be redeemed on both Android and iPhone.

- The ecash can only be claimed once. Once the QR code is scanned and redeemed, it cannot be redeemed again.

Note: the cashu protocol is non-custodial bitcoin which means there is some risk of loss, but these cards are not meant for long term cold storage.

They are designed to help you teach your friends and family how to use bitcoin as electronic cash in a tangible way.

I think they are pretty cute too. We hope you agree.
